2.10.1 Mandate of the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company

The Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) was established in terms of Law No 17 of 2005 Concerning the Establishment of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company.
In terms of Law No 17 of 2005, ADSSC owns and control all sewerage utilities and private facilities, including treatment plants, sewerage networks and pumping stations, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The ADSSC is responsible for the collection, treatment and recycling of waste water discharged from all residential and commercial customers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and for the safe disposal of both the solid and liquid waste thereof.
The ADSSC is therefore responsible for:
              Design and construction of sewerage networks and house connections
              Design and construction of trunk sewers
              Design and construction of sewage pumping stations and certain waste water treatment plants
              Design and construction of recycled water pumping stations and treated sewerage effluent (TSE) transmission mains up to the agreed boundary of the municipality TSE distribution reservoirs
              Operation and maintenance of the above sewerage infrastructure.
