About Us
QCC law
The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established in accordance with the for the year 2009.
Who we are
The Abu Dhabi’s Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) was established to raise the quality of Abu Dhabi’s exports and of products traded locally while protecting Abu Dhabi’s consumers and supporting its competitive economy.
What we do
QCC enables regulators by ensuring that the products manufactured and traded in the emirate conform to the highest quality standards. QCC achieves this by enabling regulators to establish and enforce product safety, legal metrology and conformity schemes. This protects consumers and merchants in Abu Dhabi, as well as supports the trade and export of the emirate’s goods and services to the rest of the world. These schemes and standards will help regulators and other industries protect and enhance the reputation of all Abu Dhabi originated projects and products.
How we do it
Acting as a quality champion, the QCC will work across all industry sectors in collaboration with each relevant regulator and will be closely focused on three key areas of activity:
1. On-going development of Abu Dhabi’s technical infrastructure of laboratory testing certification and market surveillance capabilities ensuring adherence to a specific set of standards
2. Improvement of consumer and market services with a focus on consumer safety
3. Development of conformity schemes for products, materials and systems in collaboration with relevant regulators
